UP Law Alumnus and former Senate President Franklin Drilon joined his colleagues at ACCRALAW in awarding scholarships to meritorious and deserving students of the UP College of Law at a ceremony held last October 1, 2024 at the Malcolm Hall Theater.
ACCRALAW, working with the ACCRALAW Scholarship Foundation, Inc., its Senior Counsel Senator Drilon, and the family of the late Violeta Calvo-Drilon provide merit and scholarship grants to deserving UP Law students. Over 170 UP Law students have been awarded ACCRALAW scholarships since 2004.
For academic year 2023-2024, UP Law Class of 2024 Valedictorian Steffi Eunice S. Ramos and Philippine Law Journal Chairperson Mika Andrea O. Ramirez received the ACCRALAW-Violeta Calvo-Drilon merit awards.
For academic year 2024-2025, UP Law students Ma. Antonetta Pilar T. Setias, Jan Cherome M. Sison, Raina Rheta S. Galut, and Kristine T. Aguilar received ACCRALAW Scholarship Awards while Rubbee B. Panganiban was the recipient of the ACCRALAW – Violeta Calvo-Drilon merit award.
UP Law Dean Lelen Berberabe and ACCRALAW partners provided inspirational messages at the awarding ceremony while UP Law alumnus Judge May A. Caniba-Llona, herself a former ACCRALAW scholar, recounted her life story from scholar to public servant.
